The Middle School Institute is designed to help teachers increase the rigor of content so students develop the strong foundation necessary for success in secondary advanced academics and post-secondary courses.

AP Summer Institute
The AP* Summer Institute at Rice University offers challenging AP and Pre-AP professional development courses and Academies that address advanced topics in AP. The institute is administered by the Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies and endorsed by the Southwest Region of the College Board.

Fall IB Workshops
The workshops at Rice are designed for new and experienced IB teachers at the Diploma Programme level who are interested in learning about the IB program and strategies and techniques for effectively teaching IB courses.

College and Career Counseling Seminar
This one-day seminar is designed to educate school counselors and college access advocates on their role in helping students navigate their college and career pathways. Counselors will receive practical and relevant training and tools for creating college and career ready students.
When and Where: Thursday, October 22, 2015, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on the Rice University campus, Houston, Texas.
Undergraduate Admissions Process
Navigating the undergraduate admissions process is often daunting for students applying to college, as well as for their counselors and parents. What are admissions committees looking for? This course explains the factors that go into the "holistic review" process of highly selective colleges and universities in the United States.
