    Session 1:  Sunday-Tuesday, February 26-28, 2012 

    Session 2: Thursday-Saturday, March 1-3, 2012 

    When: Classes on the first two days of each session will be held from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Classes on the last day of each session will be held from 8:30 a.m.-12:00 noon. Houston is in the Central time zone.

    Where: The workshops meet on the Rice University campus in Houston, Texas.

    Participants will receive up to 15 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit hours or 1.5 Continuing Education Units (CEU).

    Registration: Download the registration form. Class size is limited and registrations will be accepted on a space-available basis. Only completed forms accompanied by check, credit card information or a copy of a purchase order are accepted for registration. When registering please refer to the "Courses" section on our website to read an explanation of each workshop category and to view course options and descriptions. Courses that are full will be noted and are updated daily.

    Tuition: $725 ($770 after January 27). Tuition includes breakfast, lunch and refreshments on specific days.


    Acknowledgment of Enrollment: Once your completed registration form is received, you will either be enrolled in the course or placed on a waiting list if the course has filled. In either case, you will receive written notification from Rice at your home address within 15 days of receipt of your registration. Please contact our office, 713-348-6031, if you do not receive notification from us. You may need to check with your school or district administrative office to ensure the registration was sent.

    TEA Reimbursement: Texas IB teachers are eligible for full tuition reimbursement by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Texas teachers must attend the entire workshop in order to earn a certificate and be eligible for TEA reimbursement. If a portion of the workshop is missed, we cannot issue a TEA reimbursement form to you. Pending TEA's continued support.

    Course cancellation policy: Although we make every effort to maintain the published schedule of classes, events such as insufficient enrollment, instructor illness, room conflicts or inclement weather may require a schedule adjustment or cancellation. We will notify registrants of any change in the published information.

    Refund policy: Full refunds for course tuition will be issued for cancellations received via e-mail or fax by January 27. No refunds will be issued after January 27. There is a $30 charge for all checks returned for insufficient funds.

    Special needs: Most classrooms are accessible for all participants. However, some classrooms in older buildings may be inaccessible for people who use wheelchairs and/or other aids for mobility. Please notify us of any accommodations you require so that arrangements can be made to assist you (call 713-348-6031 or e-mail collegeready@rice.edu). We would appreciate at least two weeks’ notice.
