Administrators
Our mission is to provide high quality programs that lead to the growth of college-ready campuses throughout the Houston area. We offer administrators meaningful and targeted professional development opportunities that build awareness about the role of rigor in preparing students for college and provide the tools needed to create a college-going culture within a school community.
College Readiness
Resources – An abundance of resources are available to help advance college
readiness in the classroom.
College Readiness Summit – This one-day conference offers administrators, counselors, parents and educators an opportunity to collaborate and learn from college-readiness experts and organizations.
Customized District Professional Development – We offer customized workshops to increase awareness about the connections between a rigorous curriculum and post-secondary success as well as provide an analysis of district data in order to make informed decisions related to Advanced Placement* and International Baccalaureate programs.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme – We offer Category
1 and Category 2 workshops for Administrators (school principals, heads and members
of senior management teams).
Category 1 workshops are designed to help administrators implement
the IB Diploma Programme in a manner that supports the IB mission statement and
learner profile. These workshops are appropriate for participants who are new
to IB Diploma Programme administration at established IB World Schools and
those from interested or candidate schools preparing for authorization. Leaders
who are experienced in IB Diploma Programme administration facilitate all of
these workshops.
Category 2 Workshops are designed for administrators with at
least two years’ experience in the role. Trained workshop leaders experienced
in IB Diploma Programme administration facilitate all category 2 workshops.
Fundamentals of College Counseling Online Certificate – The college search process can be
simultaneously exciting and daunting for students and their families. Effective
college counseling requires fundamental and advanced counseling skills,
knowledge of adolescent cognitive development, an understanding of the higher
education landscape and familiarity with the undergraduate admissions process
and financial aid. This program provides a holistic, core curriculum to teach
the critical skills of effective college counseling.
